How can I book a trip with Baltimore Sea Safari?
Pre-booking a trip is advisable to avoid disappointment. Simply contact us in advance, on either phone or email, to pre-book spaces on the boat. Alternatively, come and talk to us at the pier in Baltimore. We are usually at the pier in Baltimore appoximately 30 mins prior to the scheduled trip times.
Who are the boat trips suitable for?
Boat trips are suitable for all ages from 8 yrs upwards, but are not recommended if you are pregnant or if you suffer from any chronic back ailments.
Does Baltimore Sea Safari operate in all weather conditions?
All boat trips are dependent on weather conditions. The weather and sea conditions can be unpredictable during the year, even in Summer. Our Skipper will make his decision to sail based on years of experience, always keeping in mind passenger safety and comfort. However, in the interest of safety and comfort for all our passengers, if the weather is particularly unfavourable, trips may be rescheduled or alternative trips in sheltered waters may be arranged.
Does Baltimore Sea Safari cater for Disabilities?
Our boats are not wheelchair accessible, but we do cater for disabilities and persons with special needs. Please contact us with any enquiries that you may have.
How comfortable are the boats?
Both boats are maintained to the highest standards for safety and comfort. There is dedicated seating for all passengers aboard. Both boats are built to a very high quality design giving stable rides at sea.
What methods of payment do you accept?
Payment can be made by cash and is payable to the skipper prior to departure time.
Are the boat trips suitable for children?
To avail of our boat trips passengers have to be a minumum of 8 years of age. This minimum age limit is as per our license from the Department of Transport. Children between the ages of 8 and 15 must be accompanied by an adult while on our boat trip.
What type of clothing should be worn and what else should we bring on the boat trip?
It is advisable to dress warmly, as even on the warmest of days the wind at sea can feel chilly. We issue all passengers with lifejackets, the wearing of which is mandatory, we also provide splash proof jackets and trousers if required. Passengers should bring sunglasses and suncream, as the glare and reflection from sunlight on the sea can give quite a sunburn. Importantly don’t forget to bring a camera to capture momentos your experience.
Is Baltimore Sea Safari licensed to operate?
Our boats Seafari 1 and Seafari Too! are fully licensed by the Department of Transport. Both boats are fully insured and are operated by qualified and experienced skippers. They are equipped with the latest in navigation, communication and safety equipment.

Our boats Seafari 1 and Seafari Too! have the unique advantage of being highly manoeuvrable, with a shallow draft, providing passengers with the opportunity to enjoy the magnificent scenery and wildlife from a new, close-up vantage point. Their structures allow passengers unobstructed panoramic views of the coastline and wildlife from their seating.

We operate our boat trips from the Ferry Pier in Baltimore. However, trips can be arranged from other ports in West Cork on request.
